A little punk, a little French lady. Definitely to try
You know when someone, in front of slashes by Fontana or a Pollock sketch, says, "I could have done that"? Well, maybe not. Because if Fontana and Pollock are part of art history, there must be more than one reason.
This is the spirit that led us to the concept of Hey French. You could have made this but you didn't, one of our newest labels and of which we are very proud. The slogan of this wine says "You Could Have Made This But You Didn't" so yes, you could have easily done it too, but you didn't." Hey Frenchis a great white, a pure expression of the vineyards of origin, selected in their best vintages. Garganega is the prevailing grape, along with Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon, all from the Verona side of Mount Calvarina, located in the easternmost part of the Soave denomination area. This wine is a blend of the best four vintages of the last decade (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017) selected as the maximum expression of the vineyard throughout its history. For each year selected, the vinification of white grapes takes place with maceration on the skins for about 10 hours. Later, low temperature alcoholic fermentation is activated with selected yeasts. A partial malolactic fermentation follows, with approximately 10% of the product, in barriques. Finally, aging in second-use wood for about 6 months and a final refinement in steel tanks.
Hey Frenchis considered a wine with great potential for aging. The structure is guaranteed by the blending of the different selected vintages. Garganega gives the wine structure, freshness and fragrance with floral notes and intense minerality, an expression of the volcanic-origin of the territory. When tasting, the sensations are always varied and complex with a succession of notes ranging from just-blooming flowers to chamomile, hazelnut, citrus, tropical fruit.
Maybe we’rebiased, but Hey French. You could have made this but you didn't is definitely the wine you can't do without and we hope you’ll taste it soon. And please, tell us what dish you paired it with!
