The finest grapes from the northernmost hills of the Valpolicella zone are selected for the production of this wine, in which the traditional grape mix is maintained, including Molinara, which confers freshness to the wine, and the more intense and tannic Corvina grape. The wine is pumped over the skins several times during vinification in order to favour the extraction of their colouring matter and tannins, prior to maturing in wood for 5-6 months.
Ruby-red color, this wine offers intense fruity aromas of wild cherries, vanilla and hints of toasting. A rich, full-bodied wine, round and warm on the palate.
It pairs well with tasty first course dishes of the Veneto such as risotto ai porcini or radicchio, red meats and mature cheeses. To be served at 16°-18°C.
