The production area for Bardolino and Chiaretto occupies a large part of the Veneto part of the morainic basin of Lake Garda. Both are obtained mainly from Corvina Veronese grapes with the addition of Rondinella and other minor varieties. They are distinguished for their great drinkability. The Bardolino has an extraordinary capacity for food pairings while the Chiaretto is the rosé per excellence of northern Italy.
A clean, light ruby red wine, with delightful, fruity aromas and hints of wild cherries and currants.
Optimal before dinner and with typical summer Italian dishes like prosciutto and melon, Caprese salad, rice salad. Pairs well with delicate pasta dishes or summer salads, great with white meats and sligthly chilled for a warm summer day.
Serve at 18-20° C.
